This tool is designed to be used by Barnsley College students who need to change their initial password when away from the college computers in order to access online resources including Office 365 & Moodle.
To protect Barnsley College systems & data you should use a password that is secure and difficult to guess. It is recommended that you use a unique password to any of your other online accounts.
The password requirements for your student account are outlined below.
It must be a minimum of 8 characters and meet 3 out of 4 of the following conditions:
-Lowercase characters
-Uppercase characters
-Numbers
-Symbols
Your new password cannot contain your name.
e.g., MathsBlueRoad.04
Once your password has been changed we also suggest following the link below and register for multi-factor authentication on Office 365 to further secure your account and enable you to use the 'forgot password' feature through Office 365.
You can click on this link and sign-in to register once you have changed your password.
Don't forget, the eduroam wireless service is available across all the Barnsley College buildings for all students. You may need to 'forget' your eduroam connection on any personal devices (such as phones, tablets etc..) and connect back up using your new password if you've previously connected.
Once your password has been changed you may need to wait up to 2 minutes to access Microsoft Office 365 services.
